Bausch Health
XIFAXAN IVA
Overview
XIFAXAN is a drug with the indication for both IBS-D and overt HE. The team at Bausch Health tasked us with creating an interactive visual aid (IVA) for both indications, in order for pharmaceutical reps to be able to have quick conversations with doctors and explain how XIFAXAN can help their patients. This IVA would need to function on an iPad or tablet device and the primary user would be the sale rep.

Research
Interactive visual aid adoption within pharmaceutical sales organizations, a publication done by Thomas A. Dotter, Vess L. Johnson, was what we used to guide our research into starting this IVA. We gathered that the primary necessities of this IVA were to prioritize ease of use for reps so they can have quick hallway conversations that are less than 5 minutes. The way to do this was to focus on making a simple, easy-to-use navigation system with engaging data visualization that would keep their audiences engages
Phase 1: IBS-D & OHE
For phase 1 of the project, we created an iPad functional IVA with a splitter page that took you to either indication. On the pages we created a navigation with a subnav and within the page tabs that would aid the user in seeing more information without scrolling, which through research we discover that scrolling slowed down reps and tapping button was more effective.
Phase 2: OHE
Phase 1 is currently being developed through Veeva and tested by pharmaceutical reps throughout the United States. Future stages involve a rebranding of OHE, which has just begun, and taking the feedback from the field and appying it to further the UX experience.
